This document relieves the Strathmore & District Agricultural Society and others from liability for bodily injury, wrongful death, and property damage suffered by me which is in any way related to my participation in the “Rodeo School” at the Strathmore & District Agricultural Society grounds, Strathmore, Alberta, Canada. I have read this document and I understand that I give up substantial rights, I assume all risks by signing it, and I sign it voluntarily.
For good and valuable consideration, including permission to participate in “Rodeo School” Event at Strathmore & District Agricultural Society grounds, Strathmore, Alberta, Canada, I, myself, my successors, heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, spouse and next of kin:
1. Agree that prior to participating in the “Rodeo School” Events I will inspect the facilities, equipment and areas to be used, and if I believe any of them are unsafe, I will immediately advise the person supervising the events, activity, facility or area;
2. Acknowledge that I fully understand that my participation involves risk of serious injury or death and economic losses which may result from my own actions, inactions or the negligence of others, or from the condition of the facilities, equipment, or areas where the Event or activities being conducted, as well as the rules of play for this type of Event or activity;
3. Assume any and all risks of bodily injury to myself, including medical or hospital bills, permanent or partial disability, death, dismemberment and damages to my property, caused by or arising from my participation in the Event or activity;
4. Agree not to sue, or present any claim for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death against The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society, coaches of the clinics, sponsors, or their affiliated companies, employees, guests, agents, teachers, or assigns for damages attributable to my participation in the Event or activity;
5. Discharge and release The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society, coaches of the clinics, employees, guests, agents, sponsors, and assigns from any liability, loss, damage, claim, demand or cause of action against them arising from or attributed to my participation in the Event or activity, whether same shall arise by their negligence or otherwise;
6. Agree that photographs, pictures, slides, movies or videos of me may be taken in connection with my participation in the Event or activity by The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society and consent to the use of these photographs, pictures, slides, movies or videos for any legal purpose without notice or compensation of any kind to me;
7. Warrant that I am in good health and have no physical condition that would prevent me from participating in the Event or activity.
8. I as a participant agree not to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or in any other inappropriate state.
