Running with the bulls

Since 2003, the Strathmore Stampede has been home to Running with the Bulls, Canada's original and most thrilling version of the event. Each day, up to 70 participants will face three rounds of wild, untamed bulls inside a fenced track. Runners aim to be the most daring, entertaining, and crowd-pleasing. A panel of judges, along with input from Strathmore Stampede fans, will select the winner.

runner rules

Participants must be 18 years of age or older and are required to sign a waiver prior to taking part. For safety, anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to participate. All runners must wear closed-toe footwear and appropriate clothing, and no objects may be carried during the event. Cameras or GoPros are allowed only if they are securely attached to the body.

Respect for the animals is a top priority—any mistreatment or interference will result in immediate disqualification. Participants must follow all instructions from judges, announcers, and wranglers at all times. All rulings are final, and judges and wranglers reserve the right to disqualify any participant at their discretion.
