Heritage Arena Mutton Bustin' – Family Friday
Think your little cowboy or cowgirl has what it takes? Heritage Arena Mutton Bustin' is the perfect opportunity for young riders to experience the excitement of the Strathmore Stampede in a fun and safe environment!

Eligibility
To participate, contestants must:

Be 4 to 6 years of age as of July 31, 2026.

Weigh 65 lbs or less.

Meet all eligibility requirements. Contestants who do not meet these requirements will be removed from the event.

The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society reserves the right to request proof of age (birth certificate or passport) at any time.

Please note this event takes place in the Heritage Arena and is separate from the Grandstand Mutton Bustin' held before the Chuckwagon Races.
Registration
Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis until all spots are filled.
To register:

Complete the online registration form.

Once your registration has been reviewed, you will receive a Square invoice by email.

Payment must be completed promptly to secure your child's spot.

Registrations are not confirmed until payment has been received.
Failure to complete payment by the payment deadline may result in your registration being cancelled and your spot being offered to another participant.
Event Day
Additional event details, including check-in times and participant information, will be emailed prior to the event.
All contestants must wear:

A CSA-approved or ASTM/SEI-approved riding helmet (not provided)

Long-sleeved shirt

Long pants
-
Closed-toe boots
For the safety of both the contestants and the animals, any child who is visibly upset or unwilling to ride at the time of the event will not be permitted to participate.
Refund Policy
There are no refunds, exchanges, or rain checks. If your child is unable to attend, please notify the Strathmore & District Agricultural Society as soon as possible so the spot can be offered to another child.
